Mexican Orange Candy Recipe
Ingredients:
1 c of sugar (granulated)
1-1/2 c of milk (full cream)
2 c of sugar (granulated)
Orange zests from two oranges; grated
1/2 c of butter (unsalted)
1/8 tsp salt
1 c of nuts
Instructions:
Heat milk and bring it to a boil then melt sugar on a saucepan over medium-low heat. Stir continuously. Once melted, add milk while still stirring continuously. Add the sugar and still continue to stir till dissolved then cook till it becomes hard or you can use the thermometer (for candy).
Before removing from the heat, add in orange zests, nuts, salt, and butter. Beat then take out from the heat; beat continuously till creamy or thick. Pour onto a greased 9 inch square metal pan. Let it cool then cut to squares.
