Coconut Cream Candy Recipe
Ingredients:
8 c of sugar (granulated)
1 & 1/3 c of Karo syrup (light)
1 package of coconut (1 lb)
Food color
Food flavoring
Instructions:
Cook syrup and sugar in saucepan together with a scant cup of water into soft-crack period of 270-290 degrees F on thermometer (for candy). Pour coconut and mix very well. Pour on shallow heat-proof dish and let it cool a bit.
Knead the mixture until it is creamy and add flavorings and coloring. Mix very well using hands. Mold into a loaf and slice.
