Sponge Candy Recipe
Ingredients:
1 c of sugar (granulated)
1 c of corn syrup (dark)
1 Tbsp of baking soda (Arm & Hammer)
1 Tbsp of distilled vinegar (cider)
Instructions:
Combine the vinegar, sugar, and syrup inside a saucepan; stir constantly over moderate heat until the sugar has melted then bring to a boil. Let it reach (300 degrees F) on the sugar thermometer and no stirring.
Take out from the heat and immediately add baking soda; stir thoroughly. Transfer the mixture onto a 13×9 inch pan. Let it cool and break to pieces.
