Caramels Recipe
Ingredients:
2 c of sugar (granulated)
2 c of corn syrup (light)
1 can of milk (evaporated, 12 ozs)
1 c of nuts (chopped)
1 tsp of vanilla extract
1/2 c of butter
Instructions:
Combine 2 c of granulated sugar with 2 c of light corn syrup then cook,248 deg Fahrenheit. Add 1 can of evaporated milk as well as 1/2 c of butter then cook, 248 deg Fahrenheit. Take away from fire and drop 1 tsp of vanilla extract then beat it ’til thick. Add nuts to the mixture.
Pour mixture on a well-greased 10″ x 8″ pan. Allow to cool before slicing it into bars. Wrap candies with waxed paper each. Creates 60 pieces.
