5 Popular Candies For Valentines

Aside from Halloween, Valentine’s Day is 1 of those occasions where candies and chocolates are very much in demand. Giving candies and chocolates are 1 of those age old traditions during Valentine’s Day.

The problem is, there are about a million or more people with the same idea. And besides, you might have a little problem choosing which type of candies to give. To help you out, here’s a list of Valentine’s Day’s most famous chocolates and candies that you can give to your loved ones.

Mars chocolate bars

Definitely one of the most famous chocolate bars on the planet. These are milk chocolate bars mixed with rich caramel, with a nougat center and sprinkled with almonds. Mars bars are sold almost everywhere and remains one of the most favorite chocolate bars for both children and adults.

You could get the 58-gram regular sized single bars or the 54-gram multi-pack size. If miniature bars are your thing, you could buy the 19.7-gram Fun Size bars or the 36.5-gram Snack Time bars. For bigger appetites, nothing beats the 84-gram Kingsize bar.

Galaxy Minstrels

What makes this candy such an irresistible delight for the taste buds are the rich, chewy insides inside a hardened crust. Made by Mars, Galaxy Minstrels pretty much resemble the ever-popular M&M’s. The obvious difference is in its size.

The Minstrels are definitely bigger, and each piece measures about .75 inches in diameter. The taste leans more towards white chocolate and does not have a distinct cocoa flavor.

Milka Chocolate

It is the best-selling milk chocolate brand of Kraft Foods. It was created by chocolatier Philippe Suchard in Germany in 1901. The brand became popular because of the Milka Cow, a Simmental cow with lilac-colored fur. Purple is also the color for the chocolates’ packaging, which gives it a distinct look.

Flakes

A product of Cadbury, Flakes became popular because of the chocolates flakes which melt inside one’s mouth. An employee from Cadbury was the one who developed the idea for the product. Flakes are essentially folder chocolate pieces with flaking properties. The product became popular as a partner for ice cream.

Flakes can also be bought separately in supermarkets. There are now numerous variations of Flakes, including the Flake Noir, the Flake Snow, the Flake Praline and the Flake Dipped.

Lindor’s Milk Truffles

The liquid chocolate in the center makes all the difference. Lindor’s Milk Truffles are creamy and delicious chocolate pieces in vibrant red packaging. These Swiss chocolate pieces contain a firm outer shell which gives way to the smooth and creamy chocolate at the center.

Lindor’s Milk Truffles come in several package varieties. Some are fancy-looking enough to be given as a gift for birthdays, Christmas and Valentine’s Day.
